Jake Paul has claimed Tyson Fury ran from a huge $1million bet that his brother Tommy would win the pair's upcoming meeting.
YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul is 5-0 as a professional, and was due to face his first legitimate boxer in the 8-0 Fury on August 6 at Madison Square Garden. But it now seems that the fight is in real jeopardy after Paul declared that he has told his management to move on from the mega-money bout.
And in his tweet where he said that he was going "on to the next one," Paul explained how he attempted to put money in escrow to finance a bet between he and world heavyweight champion Tyson. The elder Fury had challenged Paul to a big money wager on the result of the bout, backing his brother.
But Paul claims that the bet is now off, and he may be done with the fight in general. " Tommy Fury is in hiding," he wrote in a tweet today. "B**** made. Tyson Fury's lawyer never got back to my team on setting up escrow for our $1million bet. Never believed in his brother. Instructed my team to do a Hova [rapper Jay-Z ] and move On To The Next One."
During an interview with iFL TV, Fury laid down the £100,000 gauntlet for anybody willing to bet on Paul beating his brother Tommy. "I have got £100,000 with anybody," he said. "I'll put it on Tommy and that's it, that's how I feel about it. If Tommy Fury can't win against Jake Paul he has no right in being a fighter."
The American responded by upping the stakes, telling the elder Fury to up the ante to $1m. " Tyson Fury, who made $40m last year, is willing to bet $100,000 on his brother? Oh my gosh, we are shaking," Paul joked.

Fury responded in the affirmative, telling Paul to put the money in escrow, adding: "Hey Jakey boy. You want to bet a bigger bet than $100,000? You want a bigger bet, m***********? You want $1million? Let's do it.
"I want to see this million dollars in escrow sucker because I don't think you've got a million dollars. I'm not talking about crypto, I'm talking about real US green bags m***********."
