Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Jake Fromm showed an improved pocket presence as he helped the Washington Commanders defeat the Baltimore Ravens in preseason Week 2.
Fromm entered the game in the fourth quarter with the Commanders trailing, 28-20. He helped Washington score twice to pull off a 29-28 win over Baltimore, which had won 24 straight preseason games.
Jake Fromm is battling to be the Commanders’ No. 2 quarterback. He completed 10 of 16 passes and threw for 91 yards and a touchdown in Washington’s comeback win.
Fromm’s second-string quarterback competition, Jacoby Brissett, completed seven of 11 passes for 47 yards. Brissett, who has a wealth of NFL experience, also threw an interception.
Fromm connected with running back Jaret Patterson on his one touchdown pass of the night. Patterson had some outstanding moves after the catch to stay in bounds and find the end zone.
