The Detroit Lions saw two double-digit leads evaporate. When clutch time came on Sunday, though, Dan Campbell’s troops marched to set up a game-winning field goal by Jake Bates.
The UFL hero nailed a 44-yard field goal with 15 seconds left to give the Lions a 31-29 victory over the Minnesota Vikings.

The winning drive covered 44 yards over eight plays as the Lions ate 2:17 off the clock.
The loss was the first for Minnesota, which had taken a 29-28 lead on Ivan Pace Jr.’s return of a David Montgomery for a touchdown.
The Vikings went for a two-point conversion but it failed. Had it connected the lead would have been three.
The Lions and Vikings are both 5-1 in the NFC North.
