Jair Tavares is set to undergo a medical at Hibs today, according to a report.
We told you yesterday how the Easter Road side were in the driving seat to snap up the Benfica winger.
New Hibs boss Lee Johnson has been busy in the transfer market to date as he continues his rebuild in the capital ahead of the new season.
Tavares plays for the Lisbon club's 'B' team and his contract doesn't expire until the summer of 2024.

He netted four times with one assist across 25 games in the Portuguese second tier as the Benfica youngsters finished fifth.
And now the Edinburgh Evening News report that he is set for medical checks ahead of completing a move to the Scottish Premiership.
Speaking recently during a fan podcast, the new Hibs boss said: “The 20-25 year-olds who are emerging talents – they are the ones you can buy early,
"They might be on the fringes of Premier League squads or Championship substitutes and they're desperate to play – we can offer them that vehicle to go and be successful at a really good club. That is a market for us.

"Getting that balance in terms of personality and age and demographic becomes really important."
Hibs return to competitive action on July 9 in the Premier Sports Cup against Clyde.
They will also come up against Falkirk, Bonnyrigg Rose and Greenock Morton in the group section.
But before the domestic cup action gets underway they will head to Portugal for a warm weather training camp and take part in a number of friendly fixtures.
