Jaime Pressly has revealed she had to 'cut [her] heart off' to play the estranged mother of a grieving young basketball prodigy in Last Shot, a role she found particularly difficult because she is a mother of three herself.
The actress plays Lexi, a woman who has spent years largely absent from the life of her son Caden, played by newcomer Dylan Friedman. After Caden's father dies, the 12-year-old is forced to move in with the mother he barely knows, leaving Pressly's character to confront the consequences of years spent on the sidelines.
