The Jaguars waived undrafted rookie wide receiver Brevin Easton Tuesday, the club announced.
Easton caught one of Jacksonville quarterback Mac Jones’ two touchdown passes in the Jaguars’ 20-7, preseason victory over the Buccaneers Saturday, finishing the contest with two grabs for 33 yards and the score.
Originally from Severn, Md., Easton spent three seasons at Assumption University before transferring to Albany in 2022 for his final two years of college.
He hauled in 133 passes for 2,422 yards and 26 touchdowns over 44 combined appearances with the programs, peaking with 57 receptions for 1,086 yards and 13 touchdowns as a senior.
Easton was one of five receiver prospects Jacksonville signed after April’s NFL draft, alongside Joshua Cephus, Joseph Scates, Wayne Ruby and David White Jr.
Only Cephus and Scates remain on the active roster following Easton’s waiving, as White was placed on the injured reserve in June and Ruby was waived from the injured reserve in July.
Before being waived, Easton led the trio of undrafted pass-catchers with three receptions for 38 yards and one touchdown this preseason.
