The Houston Texans must be doing something right as that is the coaching staff the rest of the AFC South is picking apart.
According to the Jags Wire, the Jacksonville Jaguars are interested in hiring Texans quarterbacks coach Pep Hamilton as their offensive coordinator.
Hamilton was pursued by the Carolina Panthers for their offensive coordinator vacancy before ultimately settling on Dallas Cowboys offensive consultant Ben McAdoo.
The Jaguars would be following suit with the Tennessee Titans if they acquired Hamilton’s services. The Titans hired former defensive line coach Bobby King as their inside linebackers coach and are in talks with having former offensive coordinator Tim Kelly come on board in some capacity.
Houston has yet to settle on a coach, which could decide what happens to Hamilton. The Jaguars have found their next coach in former Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl-winning coach Doug Pederson.
