Jaguars 2023 roster review: WR Zay Jones

The brunt of the offseason is in the books and training camp is still off on the horizon. Join us in the NFL’s dead zone with a player-by-player review of the Jaguars roster ahead of the 2023 season.

The Jacksonville Jaguars overhauled their wide receiving corps in 2022, adding Christian Kirk and Zay Jones in free agency, and then trading to acquire Calvin Ridley in November.

In their first year in Jacksonville, both Kirk and Jones put up career-best numbers.

Jones, who previously played for the Buffalo Bills and Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders, will presumably be the No. 3 receiver for the Jaguars with Ridley added to the mix.

Contract (2023): $1.08 million base salary, $1,833,333 prorated signing bonus, $470,576 roster bonus, $500,000 workout bonus, $1.184 million restructure bonus, $1 million available in incentives, $5,817,909 cap hit.

Acquired: Jaguars signed Jones to a three-year deal in free agency on March 16, 2022.
