The Jagannath Rath Yatra (also called the Festival of Chariots) is one of the most important and grand Hindu festivals celebrated every year, mainly in Puri, Odisha. It attracts lakhs of devotees from India and around the world. For most of the year, devotees visit the Jagannath Temple to seek darshan. However, Rath Yatra is unique as the deities step out of the temple and journey through the streets of Puri. Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra are seated on three wooden chariots, which are pulled by thousands of devotees.
