With an off weekend before starting prep for Week 1 versus the Carolina Panthers, it will be interesting how Cleveland Browns players spend their time. Some may make a short trip home to spend a little time with family while others may stick around northeast Ohio.
For new Browns players, this might be a chance to explore areas of Cleveland that they haven’t gotten to yet.
For DE Jadeveon Clowney, the weekend will be a special one as he is scheduled to travel home to South Carolina. He won’t just be traveling home but will attend South Carolina’s opener against Georgia State. There, his college jersey will be retired:

While he is most known for his big hit against Michigan, Clowney put up 24 sacks in three seasons while being double and triple-teamed at times. He also added 47 tackles for loss to his resume which led him to be the top overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft.
Clowney returned to the Browns this year for a chance to play with DE Myles Garrett for another year and to join QB Deshaun Watson after sharing time with the Houston Texans earlier in their career.
