Jadeveon Clowney Had 750,000 Reasons for Celebratory Dance After Sack vs. Steelers

After a rough 2022 season with the Cleveland BrownsBaltimore Ravens linebacker Jadeveon Clowney has been a critical cog in one of football's best defenses this season.

On Saturday, he earned a sizable check to prove it.

By sacking Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph with 25 seconds left in the first half, Clowney hit 9.5 sacks for the season and locked up a $750,000 bonus.

It's the most sacks Clowney has had in one year since 2017 with the Houston Texans, and he celebrated accordingly with an on-field happy dance during a Steelers timeout while defensive end Brent Urban made a "money" gesture.

The sack continued a resurgence for Clowney—an All-American at South Carolina in 2012 and a three-time Pro Bowler with the Texans from 2016-18. Befitting his team's strong defensive 2023, the Ravens held the Steelers to just seven points in the first half Saturday.

The $750,000 was no chump change for the veteran, whose base salary for 2023 is just over $1 million.
