Eight Partick Thistle board members, including chair Jacqui Low have resigned after the Jags decision-makers yielded to a furious fanbase.
Jags fans have grown disgruntled with the leadership of the club and things hit boiling point earlier this season when they announced the transfer of shares from the Jags Foundation to the PTFC Trust - who many fans believe do not have the club's best interest at hearts and seek to dilute the fan ownership. Low and the board had denied that but it did little to quell the fury of supporters who have been heard chanting 'sack the board' at games and recently staged a boycott of their Scottish Cup tie with Kelty Hearts, which attracted a record low home crowd as a result.
Low had insisted she wouldn't bow to fans who wanted her gone but it has now been confirmed that she has walked along with seven others. A statement read: “Although all members of the Board were re-elected at last month’s AGM, a section of the fanbase, encouraged by a false narrative about fan ownership and ongoing negative commentary, has not moved on.
