Malkoun on the fight's key moment
“When he went for the shot, I thrusted my hips in, big crossface, and maybe that hurt him I think. I just felt the reactions, broad crossface like I do in training, and I think maybe a little bit more intent, a bit of a hammerfist maybe. I saw him get rocked. I saw a wounded guy on the ground. I just wanted to kick him.”
Malkoun on teammate Rob Whittaker
“I keep climbing that ladder. Skill-wise, I’m on a different level. I’m top 10, so I’ve just got to keep working, getting comfortable in that octagon over there. Rob (Whittaker’s) up next, so I’m going to go back, recover and I’m going to be pushing him.”
Malkoun on what he wants next
“It’s a good timeline, August (for UFC Pert). I’m going to be training hard, and pushing Rob, as well, for this camp. ”
