Wembley Stadium is to host a Jacksonville Jaguars NFL game in every season up to and including 2024.
The Jaguars, who have previously been linked with relocating to London, had played one home game every year in the capital since 2013 before the Covid pandemic struck.
They had already been lined up for one of the international series games this coming season, while in 2021 they beat the Miami Dolphins at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Jags, owned by Shahid Khan, who tried to buy Wembley and also owns Championship side Fulham, have now committed to games at the venue in 2023 and 2024.
Khan said: “It’s hard to believe it will have been three years since our last game at Wembley. But that changes this autumn and we look forward to coming back to our London home.
“We have built a great fanbase already in the UK and I look forward to that increasing as we reaffirm our commitment to playing one home game per season in the UK for the long term, as was always the ambition when we first played in 2013.”
There are set to be five overseas NFL games this season, three of which will be hosted in London – one at Wembley and two at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – with one in Germany and another in Mexico.
Germany is set to be a feature on the calendar for the foreseeable future having agreed to host a regular season game up to and including 2025.
