Jack Wilshere weighing up European transfer offers for mid-season move as Arsenal decision made

Jack Wilshere is wanted by Serie B side Como and teams in the Greek Super League, football.london understands.

The Hale End academy graduate, who made 198 appearances for Arsenal, found himself without a club in the summer after being released by Bournemouth, and was invited back to train with Mikel Arteta 's side at London Colney as he seeks to get a new one.

During that time the England international has also spent time working with the Gunners' youth set up in order to help him with his coaching badges for a potential career once he retires from professional football.

For now though he would like to carry on playing and it seems as though Wilshere may be moving closer to finding himself a new team.

Serie B side Como, who previously tried to sign Wilshere last summer, were unable to sign the former England international due to the latest but were unable to as he is a non-EU player.

Como Councillor of Sports Paolo Annoni posted a Facebook update on Thursday, following a meeting with the club’s General Manager Carlalberto Ludi.

"He [Ludi] revealed some interesting news," Annoni said.

"Including a new signing who is more than just a target: Jack Wilshere, a former Arsenal player."

Wilshere is also the subject of a formal offer from an unnamed Greek Super League side, with the free transfer window in Greece set to close at 23:59 on Tuesday.

"That's a different story," said Arteta when pushed on if he could be tempted to give Wilshere a pay-as-you-play type contract.

For his part Wilshere seems to be open to the idea of a move abroad having only ever played in England with Arsenal, Bolton, West Ham and Bournemouth in his career so far.

"I 100% think I can still play," he told BBC Sport in an interview last year.

"I don't care what people say or write or what they say on social media. I am an honest guy. If I didn't think I could, I would be the first to say 'enough, I am going to do something else'.

"But I am almost at the point where I think something different, abroad, might be beneficial to me."
