Jack Whitehall might be used to raising a few laughs but he may be left blushing by a confession from his own mother.
The 34-year-old comedian is the son of TV producer father Michael and actress mother Hilary – with the former featuring alongside the star in some of his TV shows.
Jack and his dad have been shown getting into all kinds of adventures, trouble and japes on the Netflix series Travels With My Father.
However, Jack’s mum is also no stranger to speaking up about her famous son – and has now shared one of Jack’s former favourite activities.
She told The Sun on Sunday: “I remember when Jack was living at home in his late teens and I came down one morning and switched on the TV and it was on Babestation.
“I stormed up to his bedroom and said, ‘If you’re going to watch things like that, please have the courtesy to get it off that channel before I get up in the morning’.
“Do you know what he said? ‘I wasn’t, Daddy was watching’.”
While Jack’s mother seems to have no issue about revealing the funnyman’s past love for watching late night saucy videos of scantily clad women, it is possible she is getting revenge on him.
Earlier this year, Jack threw his mother under the bus as he explained his tendency to steal products from hotels.
He wrote in his book, How To Survive Family Holidays: “My mother's ability to strip down a hotel room and steal as many of the contents as possible was learnt from the sensei of such things, her mother, and handed down, generation to generation, and it's definitely something that I have inherited.”
The Jungle Cruise star admitted it’s hard to get out of the habit, and explained that he will even take bathroom accessories to satisfy his urge to steal.
Jack wrote: “I even try to rationalise it in my own head - ‘I don't need these items; I'm lucky enough to be in a position where I could easily afford these things’.”
But he said the ‘genetic kleptomania’ soon takes hold before he is due to depart the hotel, and looks to make his money back.
He wrote: “I stride into the bathroom thinking, ‘If these b******s are going to charge that much for Pringles and Wi-Fi, those shower curtain rings are coming with me’.”
