Jack Keating: Love Island Casa Amor star's life from 'famous old man' to Belvedere Rugby success

If you haven’t heard that Ronan Keating and Yvonne Connolly’s son Jack has headed into the iconic Love Island Casa Amor villa by now, you must be living under a rock.

On Friday night, the Dublin lad strutted into the villa full of confidence, Irish charm and the hopes of getting himself a lovely lady. Jack has already impressed viewers and islanders with his easy going personality and his chat, but who is the 23-year-old?

Jack Keating's family life

Jack is the only son of Boyzone star Ronan and Yvonne Connolly. He also has two sisters from their marriage, Missy and Ali.

His parents married in 1998 but eventually separated in 2011, after Ronan had an affair with a dancer.

Ronan has since remarried Australian TV producer Storm Uechtritz, and they have two kids together, Cooper and Coco.

Jack Keating's job and education

Jack works in social media and marketing in London.

He attended Belvedere College where he played rugby, where he won a trophy when he was just 16-years-old.

Yvonne previously posted: ""Silverware for Belvo today, nerve-wracking ending, 17-12 against Gonzaga. Very proud of Jack and the team #atleastwewoncup".

Jack broke his collarbone in three places in 2013 playing the sport.

Where does Jack Keating live?

The Malahide lad splits his time between Dublin and London.

Jack also emigrated to Australia for a year back in 2018.

Why does Jack want to take part in Love Island?

Jack admitted: "I’ve been single for a long time, probably four or five years now.

"I’ve really been missing that spark that I haven’t been getting on the dating scene, like I’ve been dating for a long time. I just thought why not?"

Jack's relationship with dad Ronan Keating

Jack said that Ronan “will be watching when I’m on it for sure.”

He added: "He’s buzzing for me, me and my dad are very close, we’re best mates.

"I’m very competitive, for sure. I play rugby back home in Dublin and in London so I’ve definitely got that competitive edge. I’m gonna have to potentially break up a couple maybe.

"It won’t be the most ideal thing, but I’ve got to do what’s best for me."

Has Jack tried to impress any of the girls yet?

Jack jumped straight in the deep end and had a chat with Gemma Owen about one thing they have in common, famous dads.

In last night's episode, he told Michael Owens' daughter: “My mum and my little sister are big into show jumping and everything like that. I know you’re big into it as well.”

Gemma responded with the question Jack was dying to hear: “So your mum is a showjumper? So what does your dad do?”

Jack goes on to say his dad’s a singer and Gemma asks if he’s well known.

He said: “Yeah he is, you know Ronan Keating? That’s the old man.”
