Jack Harrison steals march on pre-season training alongside Leeds United teammate Junior Firpo

Jack Harrison is making good use of the off-season and has been spotted at a football training camp in Marbella as the winger prepares for pre-season training. The Whites man shared a story on his Instagram with him and Junior Firpo at the professional camp as both look to get their pre-season off to an early start.

The duo have been at the Marbella Football Centre - which has also seen the likes of Erling Haaland, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and the German national team in recent weeks - getting sharp ahead of a return to Thorp Arch for pre-season testing.

Neither Harrison nor Firpo were away with their respective national teams after the final day win at Brentford in May, with the latter enjoying his wedding day via an Instagram live stream not long after the season finished.

Harrison has previously worked hard through the off-season, famously coming back like a different player for his second season on-loan at Elland Road - the Championship title season - after a training camp in New York over the summer.

Firpo faces a make-or-break season in Leeds, having seemingly been backed by Jesse Marsch as the number one option at left-back with Stuart Dallas some way from recovering from his broken femur. The ex-Barcelona man is the only senior left-back in the side and is likely to play the majority of Leeds’ games next season.

He looks to be making a good start on the road to becoming the player he was at Real Betis, and will hope a campaign free of injury and Covid will provide the consistent minutes needed to prove his £13million worth.

Harrison, meanwhile, will be competing for a place in the starting lineup with Dan James, who should finally be deployed in his natural position after spending most of last season leading the line.

Both will travel to Australia with the club for their pre-season tour, starting with a match against Brisbane Roar on Thursday, July 14 - they will then play Aston Villa and Crystal Palace in the eight days that follow.

The Premier League kicks off on the weekend of August 5-6 with a home clash against Wolves.
