Jack Harrison says Illan Meslier has a "strong mentality" to cope with the recent criticism aimed at him, and insists the players are fully behind him.
Meslier has come under scrutiny in recent weeks after he conceded 11 goals in the defeats against Crystal Palace and Liverpool respectively.
Jamie Carragher was among those who were critical of his recent performances, but Meslier responded well with a respectable display in Tuesday's 1-1 draw against Leicester City.

The 23-year-old has already racked up 106 appearances in the Premier League, but has leaked 193 goals, and only registered 21 clean sheets. But Harrison has reminded supporters to remember he is still learning and says the squad will support him through his recent struggles.
"Illan again is a talented player. He's young, he's still learning. I think people forget how young he is playing in the Premier League. He's a fantastic goalkeeper and as a club we're all behind him, we're backing him every game," Harrison told LUTV.
"If he gets caught up in what people are saying here and there, it's not ideal for us. For him, I know he has a strong mentality and we as a team need to be behind one another, and not care too much about what's being said.
"As long as we are a close-knit group then we can get the results that we need."
