The situation is looking rather rosy for the Los Angeles Lakers right now. They scored a 128-112 win in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series against the Memphis Grizzlies and stole home-court advantage.
The Lakers looked impressive at times in that contest, especially down the stretch. They executed well at both ends of the floor and received some major production from Austin Reaves, who has been coming on the last couple of months.
Los Angeles’ prospects look even better because of the status of Ja Morant, who suffered a hand injury late in Game 1 and may not play in Game 2 on Wednesday.
He has reportedly sustained a soft tissue bruise and will be a game-time decision.

Morant will need to play and play well, otherwise the Lakers will have a great chance of taking Game 2 and putting Memphis in a very compromised position when the series heads to Southern California for Game 3 on Saturday.
