Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase suffered a separated shoulder in the 27-24 overtime win over the Minnesota Vikings, according to Mike Garafolo on NFL Network.
“I’m told it’s a separated shoulder. Separated shoulder, AC joint sprain, you hear different terms for it,” Garafolo said. “He’ll get the full battery of tests. They’ll know more tomorrow. The hope is that he won’t miss any time. We’ll see on that one.”
Chase left the game in the fourth quarter with four receptions and 64 yards and didn’t return. After he left the game he was seen on the sideline with his shoulder wrapped and in street clothes.
Chase didn’t talk to the media after the game but was in the locker room without a brace on his arm.
The Bengals haven’t yet provided an official update, but head coach Zac Taylor is scheduled to meet with the media Sunday so he could have more news on Chase’s status.
