Ja’Marr Chase has Browns CB keeping ‘receipts’ ahead of Sunday’s game

Cleveland Browns cornerback Greg Newsome is seemingly not a big fan of Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase.

Ahead of the Bengals and Browns opening the season with one of two Battle of Ohio installments in 2023, Newsome told Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot that he “keeps receipts” on things that have been said.

One of those things is apparently Chase saying last offseason that Newsome isn’t elite.

For those out of the loop, Chase went on a podcast last year and said he enjoys playing the Browns the most because they talk the most trash, while not exactly having a lot of praise for Newsome. Later that year, Newsome was mad Chase missed a game while he recovered from a hip injury.

Luckily for Newsome, with fellow corner Denzel Ward dealing with an injury, he should get plenty of chances to make good on the receipts he’s been keeping if and when he lines up against Chase on Sunday.
