Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is eligible for an extension this offseason, but he’s yet to come across as overly concerned or thinking about it.
Case in point, Chase and Tee Higgins appeared on Kay Adams’ show during Super Bowl week and the topic of the future came up.
Chase had an almost throwaway line that said quite a lot: “I don’t plan on leaving Joe and all of that is going to take care of itself.”
While Chase has openly said that he wants to wait on others such as Justin Jefferson to reset the market first, both team and player have made intentions about the future clear.
In a funny side note, Chase actually tried to call Joe Burrow during the interview and while he picked up, the star quarterback quickly said hello and left his receivers to it.
