Vancouver Canucks fans are excited for J.T. Miller‘s return to the team in Thursday night’s game against the Florida Panthers.
Miller took an indefinite leave of absence for undisclosed reasons. He last played on November 17.
The Canucks have protected his privacy from the onset. No one knows what prompted the leave of absence. It appears that will stay between Miller and his team.

Miller met with the press on Thursday and did not offer any details about what prompted his decision to leave the team. He is entitled to his privacy, but there is plenty of curiosity about what happened.
The Canucks Held Their Own Without J.T. Miller
J.T. Miller missed 10 games. The Canucks went 5-5 during that time. Four of those games were decided in overtime with the Canucks going 2-2. Three of the last four games have been losses which is why the Canucks are likely thrilled to have Miller back.
Miller rejoins the team as they take on the defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers. The Canucks defeated the Panthers 3-2 in overtime in Florida on October 17.
Before his absence, Miller scored six goals and ten assists in 17 games.
The Canucks are 14-8-5, in fourth place behind the Vegas Golden Knights, Los Angeles Kings, and Edmonton Oilers in the Pacific Division. The Canucks travel to Vegas to play the Golden Knights on December 19 and host back-to-back home games against the Kings and Oilers on January 16 and 18.
In addition to his duties with the Canucks, J.T. Miller was named to the US team for the February 2025 4 Nations Face-Off between the US, Finland, Sweden, and Canada.
