J&K: Two CRPF jawans, two policemen injured in Srinagar encounter

Srinagar: Two CRPF personnel and as much cops were injured in the ongoing encounter with terrorists in the Khanyar area of Srinagar on Saturday, officials said.

The injured were rushed to Army's 92 Base Hospital. The encounter broke out after security forces  launched a cordon and search operation in the area after receiveing a tip-off about the presence of terrorists.

Police statement 

"A cordon & search operation in Khanyar area of district Srinagar has resulted in an exchange of fire. Police & security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,"  Kashmir Zone Police said earlier in a post on X.

2 terrorists killed in Anantnag
In a separate encounter, two terrorists were killed by security forces during in Kashmir's Anantnag district on Saturday. 

The encounter broke out after security forces initiated an anti-terrorist operation in the Halkan Gali area. (With Agency inputs)
