Akhnoor: Hours after India Army successfully conducted anti-terror operation in Jammu's Akhnoor sector on Tuesday in which thee terrorist were neutralised, Major General Sameer Shrivastava, GoC 10 Infantry Division, said it used unmanned vehicles and artificial intelligence (AI) in the counter-terror operations.
"We have used unmanned vehicle, AI that gave us a quick and successful result. We lost one Army Dog, he was ahead when we were doing search operations, and militants fired at him. It's due to his sacrifice, many of the lives could be saved," Major General Shrivastava said while talking to reporters in Aknoor.

According to Major General Shrivastava, locals provided vital assistance in detecting the terrorists' movements. Intelligence inputs had earlier indicated that these slain terrororists were planning a major attack.
Earlier in the day, the Army successfully neutralised three terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Akhnoor sector. The mission, named 'Operation Asan', was launched after terrorists attacked an Army convoy in the Battal area on October 28.

"Three terrorists have been neutralised, and a search operation is underway. As soon as we received information that terrorists were at the said location, they opened fire at the Army ambulance. It was then certain that there were terrorists here. The entire area was cordoned off. Army, police, SOG, and paramilitary forces all participated in this operation," Jammu Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Joginder Singh said. (With Agency Inputs)
