J.J. Watt Reveals Brother T.J.’s Injury Status Following Steelers Win Over Ravens

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain vs. the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday, his brother J.J. Watt confirmed on Sunday following an MRI.

The retired defensive end called this the “best case scenario” for his younger brother as he will rest and recover for a couple weeks. The elder Watt also added that “everything else looks pristine” regarding his brother’s health.

Watt exited Saturday’s game in the third quarter after he ran into teammate Montravius Adams. His older brother tweeted at the time that Watt’s injury was “devastating.”

The Steelers could potentially clinch a playoff spot on Sunday if the Buffalo Bills lose to the Miami Dolphins or if the Jacksonville Jaguars lose or tie with the Tennessee Titans.

If the Steelers make the playoffs, the team will likely be without its star pass rusher during the postseason.

Watt is considered one of the favorites for the NFL Defensive Player of the Year title, an award he previously won during the 2021 season. He accounted for his 19th sack during Saturday’s 17–10 win.
