An experimental antibody called ivonescimab, combined with chemotherapy, helped patients with advanced biliary tract cancer live longer than the standard pairing of Imfinzi and chemotherapy, its developer Akeso reports. The 682-patient Phase 3 trial, HARMONi-GI1, was conducted in China.
The company has not released how much longer patients lived. Median survival times and hazard ratios are set for release on October 25 at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress in Madrid, where the study was chosen for the meeting's Presidential Symposium.
