Real Valladolid sporting director Fran Sanchez insists the club are yet to receive an offer for Ivan Fresneda.
Arsenal hold an interest in the defender and Standard Sport understands the Gunners have spoken to the 18-year-old’s representatives.
Fulham are pursuing in Cedric Soares and Fresneda could be sought as a replacement, while Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund have both been linked.
Valladolid, however, are understood to want to keep the teenager until the end of the season even if they agree to sell him.
Still, speaking to Diario AS, Sanchez said: “(Fresneda) has aroused the interest of many teams, but we have not received an official offer, but it is true that several clubs have contacted us and that interest of many clubs is real, but there is no official offer.
“We are not desperate trying to sell the player”
Newcastle are eager to bring in cover for Kieran Trippier and have also considered West Ham’s Harrison Ashby, while Dortmund boast a strong track-record in developing players.
Arsenal have already brought in Leandro Trossard and Jakub Kiwior this month but could yet seek a replacement for Cedric should he leave.
