Ivan Fresneda 'linked' with Celtic transfer as Hoops joined in list by likes of Arsenal and AC Milan

Celtic are reportedly one of a host of clubs who have entered the race to sign highly-regarded full-back Ivan Fresneda.

The Real Valladolid youngster is high in demand across Europe with clubs in France, England and Italy all said to be keen alongside Ange Postecoglou in securing a deal. The English Premier League interest is reported to come from Brentford, Southampton, Fulham and Arsenal while it is two giants in the shape of AC Milan and Juventus from Serie A according to Radio Marca Valladolid.

AS claim Everton and Frank Lampard lead the chase for the 18-year-old and have already made an approach to the La Liga club. The Scottish champions - who get their Premiership campaign back up and running away at Aberdeen this weekend - have already brought in one right-back ahead of January in the shape of Canada World Cup star Alistair Johnston.

Anthony Ralston is also on the books while it is expected the new arrival will be a replacement for Josip Juranovic, who has seen a further rise in his services following impressing displays for Croatia in Qatar in their run to the semi-finals before defeat to Argentina.

The likes of Atletico Madrid, Real Sociedad, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been named previously with regards to the former Legia Warsaw man while it is reported that Torino have already made contact over the defender.

Fresnada's arrival would likely be seen as one for the future and a good back up option to Ralston and Johnston should either or both pick up injuries.

Giorgos Giakoumakis is another Celtic first team star who could leave next month with a life-changing move to Saudi Arabia linked after contract talks stalled. Scott Robertson is also set to depart with legendary skipper Scott Brown keen to take him to Fleetwood with fellow Premiership side St Mirren also said to be interested in the fringe man.
