ITVX Without Sin: How to watch the new Vicky McClure drama

Without Sin is the brand new drama from ITV. The four-part psychological thriller starring This is England's Vicky McClure and Johnny Harris explores the relationship which develops between a grieving mother and the man she believes murdered her daughter.

Filmed in Nottingham, the series has a star-studded cast list. You can find out more about the cast, filming locations, and how many episodes there are here.

A synopsis for the series reads: "The Nottingham-based drama focuses upon Stella’s life three years on from the death of her daughter and how she is still hostage to her grief. The loss of her beloved only child has created deep divisions in her life as she struggles on a daily basis to come to terms with this.

"Wracked with guilt and remorse at the events of that night she chooses to live a nocturnal existence as an Uber driver. She is estranged from husband Paul who still lives in the family home. When contacted by Restorative Justice, and in an attempt to move on, Stella and Paul reunite to listen to a taped recording of Charles who they believe wants to atone for his sins and apologise for murdering their daughter.

"Following this development Stella returns to her roots in the Millfields estate. Surrounding herself with the people she trusts and holds dear, her mother Jessie and best friend Remy, she decides to take things with Charles one step further.

"Stella agrees to visit the prison alongside a Restorative Justice mediator and come face to face with her daughter's killer. But nothing could prepare her for what Charles has to say next."

But when is Without Sin's release date and what channel is it on? Here's everything you need to know.

How to watch Without Sin

Without Sin landed on ITV's new streaming service ITVX on Wednesday, December 28. All four episodes in the series dropped on the same day meaning viewers can binge watch to their hearts' content.

ITVX is the broadcaster's brand-new streaming service and officially launched on Thursday, December 8, replacing ITV Hub as the online home of all ITV content. For those who already had ITV Hub the broadcaster should have already upgraded the app to the brand new ITVX experience across smart TVs, mobile apps, and browsers. You can use the same login details from your old ITV Hub account to access the free version of ITVX.

According to ITVX the streaming service has already been launched on the following platforms:

  • Amazon Fire TV and tablet
  • Android (5.0 and up)
  • Android TV (please note: some models aren't yet supported)
  • Apple TV (tvOS 12.2 or later)
  • Chromecast
  • Freesat (please note: some models aren't supported)
  • Freeview Play (please note: some models aren't supported)
  • Huawei Phones and Tablets
  • iOS (12.2 or later)
  • LG Smart TVs (2016 and above)
  • Now Smart Sticks and Boxes (minimum firmware v11.0.2)
  • Roku Streaming Players (minimum firmware v11.0.2)
  • Samsung Smart TVs (2016 and above)
  • Sky Glass and Sky Stream pack
  • Virgin Media
  • Xbox One/S/X and Xbox Series X/S

ITVX can also be accessed online. To get the web browser version just head to itv.com to explore what's on offer. To use the free service all you have to do is register by clicking on the 'sign in' button at the top of the page and then choosing 'register now'.

Bosses have said viewers can expect a new and improved product experience through ITVX as well as more new and exclusive programmes to stream for free than anywhere else. Flagship programming that premiered on the platform's launch included A Spy Among Friends, Tell Me Everything, and The Confessions of Frannie Langton.

Since then one flagship show has launched on the channel each week. So far these have included David Tennant's Litvinenko, which launched on Thursday, December 15, and the family drama Riches, which landed on Thursday, December 22.
