Good Morning Britain's Simon Calder has issued urgent advice on flight cancellations.
The travel expert appeared on Thursday's edition of the ITV news programme. Simon was answering questions from viewers concerned their summer holiday plans would be thrown into chaos as the airline industry struggles to recover after the pandemic.
Staff shortages and flight caps at major airports have caused misery for many passengers hoping for a summer getaway. The industry is set to be hit by strike action as Ryanair cabin staff will go on strike for six days in late June and early July.

A viewer was concerned the strike action would affect her holiday plans, but Simon said the airline does not expect any disruption to its operation. EasyJet crew are also set to go on strike in July, but Simon said anyone hit by disruption must remember their rights if a flight is cancelled.
He said: "The most important thing you need to know if your flight is cancelled. It doesn't matter if it's three months ahead or three hours. The airline has to get you to your destination on the day you're supposed to get there. If there is any seat available on any airline."
The expert assured people they would be notified of any cancellations in advance and if they cannot arrange a flight to your destination on the day then an overnight stay in a hotel would be arranged. Travellers can accept a refund instead if their flight is cancelled, but Simon warned this can cause issues for people who have booked a rental car and hotel separately to their flight.
He added: "The trouble is if if you booked a flight that doesn't go and you booked a hotel and rental car company separately, then the hotel and rental car are gonna say 'what you've booked is here' so you can't have a refund. If you're on a package holiday and then the flight gets cancelled then you get a refund for the whole thing."
