This Morning viewers were left wanting to “switch off” the ITV show on Friday, May 5 as it celebrated King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s coronation by taking a visit to Coronation Street. Hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary led proceedings as the show was broadcast live from the Corrie set.
Throughout the programme the presenters chatted to various members of the soap opera’s cast including Bill Roache, Barbara Knox, Sally Dynevor and Michael Le Vell. As ever Alison and Dermot were joined by the likes of Josie Gibson, Gyles Brandreth and chef Phil Vickery.
At one point in the show, during which Phil was rustling up party food outside Roy’s Rolls, filming was forced to move inside when it started to rain. For the latest TV and showbiz news sign up to our newsletter here.

A second echoed: "#ThisMorning Nah I'm out, have a great day Tweeters." And a third said: "Cringe all round #ThisMorning"
