Emma Bunton got This Morning viewers talking as she headed onto the show to chat to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield. The Spice Girl was live in the ITV daytime show's studio on Monday (November 21) to chat about her upcoming tour with a festive twist.
Emma will be hitting the road in a matter of weeks with a string of Christmas shows. She performed a one-off Christmas show at the Royal Albert Hall in 2019. But after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the singer will now take the show on tour with stops in Manchester, Brighton, York, Birmingham and London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
The 46-year-old, who shot to fame in the 1990s as one fifth of the Spice Girls with bandmates Mel Chisholm, Mel Brown, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham, has previously said the Christmas-themed show will feature hits from her back catalogue, which includes seven UK top 10 hits, as well as Spice Girls favourites and classic Christmas tunes. She will also invite unnamed guest performers to the gig to perform a medley of songs during the event.

But any chat with any of the Spice Girls doesn't come without questions in the iconic girl group and so Phillip and Holly were sure to quiz Emma on reunion plans for the Wannabe and Spice Up Your Life singer. Emma, who was known as Baby Spice during her time in the group, said that the former members often get together.
"We were together the other day," she said, seemingly referring to Geri's belated 50th birthday celebration. She also revealed that Holly, 41, had also attended the bash with her husband Dan Baldwin and became an 'honorary Spice Girl' for the night. It comes after Emma, Geri, Mel C and Victoria were seen singing and dancing along to their own songs at the party held at Geri and husband Christian's lavish Oxfordshire home.
Holly said: "You were all there at Geri's 50th, four of you were together dancing on the dance floor, and I think David Beckham posted a video." Emma then said to Phillip: "Holly was there. She became a bit of an honorary Spice Girl that night, didn't you? We were trying to drag her on the floor.'" Holly added: "Literally made my dreams came true!"
But on a potential future Spice Girls reunion tour, Emma admitted: "I'd love to do another tour and I hope that we get around to talking about it. We were together the other day. I don't know that it will be a tour, but there are things in the pipeline for all of us to do together. All of us."
Phillip, 60, also went on to ask specifically about rumoured Spice Girl documentary that Mel B hinted at back in July.
"We have been in talks about doing a doc, but nothing has been confirmed yet," Emma confirmed. When the host suggested that Mel B had been “a bit early on that one," Emma laughed and said: "Of course she always does."
She did, however, say that she and her fellow Spice Girls do secretly like it when Mel spills the beans as it means she's "excited" about the plans. "But if we want anything to be kept a secret we don’t tell her," she then added with a laugh.
However, as Emma chatted away, This Morning viewers were flocking to social media to comment as they became distracted by her outfit. She looked gorgeous in a black suit featuring flared trousers and a green-trimmed blazer and shirt. But it did remind fans a certain supermarket's uniform.
@onlysmols tweeted: "Only just caught Emma's ASDA suit at the end and then I come on here and you lot DO NOT DISAPPOINT#ThisMorning." @emmaloveswinter asked: "Why does Emma Bunton look like she works in Asda? #ThisMorning." @EditorRachelD commented: "Emma Bunton going straight to her @asda job after @thismorning #asda #thismorning."
@Boppity_Boo34 shared: "Is Emma off to do a shift at Asda afterwards #ThisMorning." @Sharlin14Ox posted: "Emma Bunton looking like she's got a shift at ASDA after her interview on this morning #ThisMorning." @SenorApple2014 joked: "Sorry, Emma, aren’t you late for your Asda shift? Those tills won’t work themselves! Well, actually some of them could. #ThisMorning." @PaigeyEFC added: "Emma Bunton looks like she’s wearing an Asda uniform on #thismorning."
