EastEnders star Charlie Brooks caught This Morning viewers by surprise for two different reasons as she made an appearance on the show. The actress, who recently left the BBC One soap again as Janine Butcher, appeared live on the ITV daytime show to chat to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about her latest venture.
Charlie left EastEnders as part of Danny Dyer's huge exit storyline which saw Mick Carter disappear in the English Channel. Mick reunited with his ex Linda Carter after new wife Janiner’s web of lies unravelled during a family Christmas Day dinner.
After discovering that his new bride had engineered the break-up of his former marriage by framing Linda as the cause of a car crash, Mick refused to let her get away. Janine tried to escape being turned into the police but Mick and Linda headed off in pursuit.
In dramatic scenes, Linda ended up being whisked away by Janine and after a scuffle inside the car upon a clifftop, Linda and Janine were then seen plummeting in a car into the water below. Mick was then seen jumping into the water - and after finding the car - followed Linda’s instructions to help Janine first as she was thought to be pregnant with his baby.
However, after noticing that Linda had not come out of the water Mick then jumped back in - unaware that she had crawled onto the shore. Mick then did not reappear from the water and has since been presumed dead.
Then, in the aftermath of the tragic scenes, Linda ordered Janine to leave the Square and never come back or she would call the police and make sure that she went to prison for a long time. Linda then threw her out of the Queen Vic and locked her out and she headed off to try and get daughter Scarlette on side. However, Janine's brother Ricky called the police, and Janine was taken away and hasn't been seen again since, makring Charlie's exit from the soap.
And since then, Charlie has taken on a very different role and revealed on This Morning that she has designed a vibrator. "I got approached on my 40th birthday and I felt like my life was standing still," she told This Morning hosts Holly and Phillip.
"As an actress, you can spend a lot of time uninspired, so I got a business coach and I gave up booze. I made a lot of changes in my life, did a bit of work on myself. I started to have ideas, creativity was starting to flow out of me. I remembered having a conversation with somebody about seven or eight years ago about the shape of the clitoris, which I didn’t know is in the shape of a wishbone.
"So that must have stuck with me on some level and I was like, how have we never had this – for me anyway – that education at school. I woke up in the middle of the night about four years ago and went, 'Why isn’t there a vibrator that surrounds the clitoris?' It surrounds the vulva, it doesn’t penetrate."
Charlie, 41, then decided to get things rolling herself, ordering some clay and getting to work on her dining at the kitchen table. Fast forward and Charlie has teamed up with Ann Summers and her vibrator - which is called The U - was born.

Others were distracted by Charlie's transformation. The actress has done away with Janine's short blonde locks and has debuted a brunette, longer style with a shaggy fringe.
