ITV This Morning's new look as Dermot joins Holly for first time in nine years and makes announcement

While no permanent presenter has been announced to replace Phillip Schofield on This Morning, Dermot O'Leary shared some news on Monday, June 12 about his role on the ITV show, just minutes after it started with a new theme tune.

The new theme tune is a remix of the original theme by Gok Wan and played out to generic images before Holly Willoughby was joined by Dermot for the show for the first time in nine years. While Dermot is a regular host, he usually presents the show on a Friday alongside Alison Hammond.

Since Schofield quit This Morning on Saturday, May 20 and then subsequently ITV after admitting to an affair with a much young colleague, This Morning has had a number of different hosts throughout the week, including Dermot. But now he's confirmed he will be joining Holly on the This Morning sofa for the next two weeks. He said: "I'm here for two weeks!"
