This Morning viewers couldn't help but be drawn to one particular item in Alison Hammond's home as she appeared live via video link on the programme. The ITV daytime show was back on air on Friday (Decemeber 23) with Josie Gibson back at the helm.
After being joined by Craig Doyle previously this week, the former Big Brother winner had a new co-host. She was joined by ITV's very own Andi Peters for their last show before Christmas.
And the show's usual Friday host also joined them as a guest. Alison, who finished up her stint on the show after a week of festive episodes with Dermot O'Leary last week, chatted to Josie and Andi live from her Birmingham home about her new show, In At The Rich End.
The hour-long programme airs on ITV tonight (Friday) and sees the 47-year-old presenter living the life of luxury to see how a number of billionaires live. Viewers of the one-off special will see Alison travel across the legendary French Riviera, one of the most expensive places to live, on a mission to find out what makes the super-rich tick as she samples eye-watering opulence first hand.
But as Alison chatted about her show, This Morning viewers couldn't help but spot something in Alison's home, and it appears Andi did too. The 52-year-old said: "This takes me back to covid days when we used to interview everyone by Zoom and the first thing you do is you look around the person's house."
He then added, referring to a cushion that had been emblazoned with Alison's face: "You've got a cushion of yourself!" The TV star then confessed: "I actually robbed one from This Morning. We did a day where I was the editor and they had cushions everywhere and everyone stole them, that was the only cushion that was left."
Leaning off camera, Alison then picked up another piece of home furnishing she stole from set - a standard ITV logo cushion. "I've got this one as well!" she added as show showed it off.
Commenting on social media, @Mysteron_Voice tweeted: "Is there anything *more* Alison Hammond than Alison Hammond with an Alison Hammond cushion on her sofa ? #ThisMorning." @jamespir said: "Why would you have a cushion with your own face on ??? Plus alison looks great with straight hair #ThisMorning."
But others were unimpressed by her new show - without even watching it. @kellymcc5 asked: "Are we supposed to feel sorry for the rich? #thismorning." @Itt39354118 wrote: "You can have all that money but it does'nt buy your health#thismorning."
@FlopsyPickle posted: "Alison trying to make us sympathetic towards the mega rich, talk about tone death. #ThisMorning." @deadroses1998 added: "#thismorning @thismorning @AlisonHammond ABSOLUTELY TONE DEAF, AGAIN. People can’t afford xmas, food and are freezing. Nobody gives a flying F**k about other rich people."
