This Morning fans were left fuming during the last show of the week during a segment which appeared to leave Alison Hammond suffering an 'awkward' moment. The presenter was back at the helm on the ITV daytime show on Friday (November 18) alongside Dermot O'Leary.
And the gentle inclusion of Christmas-themed segments continued after Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield taste-tested a variety of festive sandwiches on Thursday's show.
Today though it was all about Christmas trees and one of the show's regular contributors Georgina Burnett was back to talk the hosts and viewers through some of the best trees on the market this year and how to decorate them.
But as they proceeded to go through the different trees with different decorative themes, interior expert and stylist Georgina gave her honest opinion on each one and at one point pleaded: "Please have a colour theme when you do your tree! Don't just throw everything on."
And it led to a slightly disappointed Alison to reply: "Oh no, you'll hate my tree then. I literally just use everything, because it's got memories as well..."
But as the mum-of-one tried to explain how she had some decorations that her teenage son, Aiden, had made as a child, Georgina clapped back: "Maybe put them in another room."
A short while later while eying up another tree, Alison asked: "Would you put some tinsel on that? Maybe some silver?" But brutally shutting the presenter down, Georgina replied: "I can't stand tinsel!"
Alison cooly replied: "Oh no! Are you not a tinsel person? Oh dear. I was going to ask you to come round and decorate for me, but if you don't have any tinsel..."
And while Alison, 47, didn't appear phased, This Morning viewers were flocking to social media to comment. @MariaBeckett tweeted: "Watching @thismorning I gotta say, Georgina Burnett is an absolute Christmas snob! Christmas is about family and fun, decorate however you want."
@demama87 said: "Who is this tree snob on @thismorning?! No tinsel, tress much be colour coordinated, fibre optic is a nah, baubles are too 70s! I'm with @AlisonHammond get the home made decs, tinsel on there. It's all about the memories over the years #ThisMorning." @Clarabear91 shared: "Trees do not have to have a theme! Im with Alison on this lots of colours , decs with a memory or made by children far nicer ! #ThisMorning."
But some did side with Georgina. @Ed_Pritch91 said: "@AlisonHammond Tinsel does NOT belong on Christmas trees hun #ThisMorning." @dancelikeotters commented: "Just love the Christmas tree section .. Georgina has great taste #ThisMorning."
