ITV This Morning fans divided as Phil and Holly get new looks for Halloween

Fans of This Morning were divided as Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were 'replaced' by spooky characters for a Halloween edition of the ITV show.

As well as Phil and Holly, Alison Hammond, Dermot O’Leary, Gyles Brandreth, Gok Wan and Steve Wilson had all swapped their normal attire to give off scarier vibes as they transformed into the Addams Family.

Uncle Fester and Wednesday Addams took over from Phil and Holly for one morning only today as the daytime talk show hosted a spooky special. They were joined by Morticia Addams, Cousin ‘Knit’, Gomez, and Pugsley Addams. But fans were divided with their opinions on the new looks and took to Twitter.

Some viewers loved the change and showered the show's presenters in compliments. One Twitter user said: "Holly looks quite attractive like that lol #thismorning."

Lois said: "Ahh they look brilliant and so does the studio! Love it!!! #ThisMorning." Lee added: "My god this is brilliant this is the best thing on this morning for a while well done #ThisMorning."

Meanwhile, others had a good old moan about it. Jean said: "Thought I’d accidentally landed on Children’s TV… @ITV get a grip #ThisMorning".

Ann said: "#ThisMorning I'm not being a miserable b**** I love having fun and being silly, but honestly adults acting like idiots for Halloween. Halloween is for children and not adults to behave like kids." Charlie added: "@thismorning is meant to be a daytime magazine programme for grown ups, not a showcase for two adult presenters behaving like children. It's frankly embarrassing. #ThisMorning."
