ITV The Chase: Viewers yell 'read the question' as player gets obvious answer wrong

ITV's - or STV if you're in Scotland - The Chase returned to our screens tonight (October 25) for another dinner time episode.

Working together to take home the cash prize was Terry, Verity, Liam and Barbara, who all came to win big.

Taking them on tonight was Mark Labbett, who is often called 'The Beast'.

First up in the cash builder round was 58-year-old Terry who scored four questions right and sticking to the middle offer, he managed to take the £4,000 he had earned home without any trouble.

Next up was Verity, 25, who took home £3,000, whilst Liam managed to get six questions right. However, his team said he should stick with what he had earned and not take the low offer of £1,000 - and he did just that.

Thankfully the 35-year-old did get through, but one question came up and it appears he maybe should have re-read it.

The question asked: "Which Billy Wilder film stars Jack Lemmon as a reporter? with the usual three multiple-choice answers.

These were The Apartment, The Seven Year Itch and the Front Page. However, despite the right answer being the latter, Liam opted for the middle answer and sadly got it wrong. After this, he also got the next question incorrect thus, sending him home.

One said: "REPORTER! READ THE QUESTION!!"

Another added: "The Front Page, OMG, clues right there."
