ITV The Chase viewers slam Bradley Walsh for 'embarrassing' and 'distracting' behaviour

Viewers watching Tuesday evening's episode of The Chase criticised host Bradley Walsh's behaviour while one contestant was attempting to answer questions.

Electrical engineer John from Kent was about to face off against 'chaser' Mark Labbett for the sum of £11,000 when Walsh decided to play along and see if he could beat Labbett.

The chaser had offered a high-risk offer of £50,000 to John before the engineer decided to take the safer bet of £11,000, after which Walsh said: "I know what I would've done, all day long — 50 grand."

One viewer called his behaviour "despicable" (ITV)

Labbett replied: "Yeah and that's why you'd be out in about two minutes", at which point he bet Walsh £10 that he wouldn't be able to beat him.

Following this, Walsh emphatically played along as John attempted to answer questions — but fans watching at home stated on Twitter that he went too far and distracted the contestant.

One said: "F*****g hell, Brad doesn't even know how the contestant did in the head to head. That was just embarrassing".

"The Team deserved a win after Bradley distracting one of them their entire round tbh," a second argued.

A third tweeted: "Bradley nearly f****d it for John".

"Well done John - for not chinning Bradley," another posted.

"Bradley is either p****d or losing the plot," stated a fifth.

"Bradley Walsh sure is irritating ffs," another frustrated viewer tweeted.

A seventh commented: "What the f**k is Bradley doing why is he making it all about him"

"Bradley making it all about him," an eighth agreed.

A ninth concurred: "I wish Brad would stop trying to make the show all about him. It's not about you Brad, just shut up and support the contestants."

A tenth went even further, stating: "Despicable behaviour by Brad Walsh acting the fool there in front of the contestant who is trying to concentrate! These people are playing for money that may in a small way change their lives!"
