ITV The Chase viewers threatened to switch off minutes into today's programme.
Bradley Walsh welcomed four new contestants on Friday's edition of the popular game show. Julie, Aaron, Elaine and Michael were testing their wits against one of Britain's finest quiz brains in a bid to win a cash prize.
Julie was first up and put in an impressive performance to accumulate £8,000 in her cash builder. The 62-year-old hoped to be facing off against Shaun Wallace, but Mark Labbett was unveiled as The Chaser on the final episode of the week.

However, viewers following the show on Twitter were disappointed Friday's Chaser wasn't Darragh Ennis. Susan said: "Still no Darragh"
Another user added: "It’s almost 2 weeks since Darragh was on". Alan commented: "No Darragh = switches off"
Thomas posted: "Darragh can't have made enough shows lol" Steve tweeted: "Everyone who was hoping for Darragh to appear…"
The team put in a dominant showing as each member progressed to the final round and were competing for a grand total of £24,000. They built up 16 steps in the last round, but The Beast rallied and caught the team with 29 seconds remaining.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and ITV Hub
