ITV The Chase's Mark Labbett warns Bradley Walsh he is 'in trouble' moments into show

Mark Labbett issued a warning to Bradley Walsh moments into today's edition of The Chase.

Four new players were welcomed onto the latest episode of the popular ITV game show as they aimed to win a cash prize. Simon, Sharon, Leah and Mayank were testing their wits against The Beast.

Simon was first up and earned £5,000 in an impressive cash-builder. However, Mark took issue with Bradley's choice of words during one of the questions.

He said: "Before we start, Bradley you're in trouble. I reckon a couple of million schoolchildren are now screaming at the telly. 'Whales are mammals, not fishes'. My five-year-old knows that."

Bradley shot back and said: "I don't write them." Viewers following the show on Twitter also spotted the blunder.

Mary said: "Whales are NOT fish." Eamonn added: "A whale isn't a fish."

Simon continued his superb display as he progressed through to the Final Chase. He was joined in the last round by Sharon and Mayank.

The team were competing for £22,000 and built up 21 steps. Mark could only build up 17 steps so the team left with the cash prize.
