ITV The Chase's Bradley Walsh taken aback by player's Wetherspoon's admission

Bradley Walsh was taken aback by a player's Wetherspoons admission on The Chase.

The 62-year-old presenter returned to front Monday's edition of the ITV game show. Kathrine, Ollie, Sharon and Carlton were testing their wits against Mark Labbett in a bid to win thousands.

The Beast was at his formidable best as he eliminated the first player, Kathrine, after an impressive cash-builder. Ollie was next up and Bradley was surprised as the quizzers shared his interests.

He said: "I'm a big fan of pub culture. I once went to 12 Wetherspoons in a day. That's one of my more unique facts." Bradley was in disbelief after the admission as he asked if each branch of the pub chain was in its own city.

The quizzer responded: "Nine in London. I've been to see the Rolling Stones, woke up the next morning. I needed something to do so went the pub for breakfast and stayed in the next 11."

Ollie proceeded to earn £5,000 in his cash-builder before he navigated his way past the Chaser. He was joined by Carlton in the final Chase as the two aimed to take home the £6,000 cash prize.

The team built up 17 steps in the Final Chase, but were caught with 29 seconds remaining - so they left empty-handed.
