ITV The Chase fans accuse Shaun Wallace of 'letting team win'

The Chase's Shaun Wallace is said to have "given up" during Tuesday's episode.

Bradley Walsh once again welcomed four new players on this week's second edition of the popular ITV programme. Hannah, Jackie, Chris and Mike were testing their wits against one of Britain's biggest brains in a bid to win big money.

Mike was first up to face the Dark Destroyer. He answered three questions correctly in his decent cash builder, before being caught by Shaun Wallace, and he left the studio empty-handed.

Jackie made it back to the team with £2,000, while Chris returned with £1,000. Turning to them, Bradley said: "I think you've been lucky to have two back at the table".

Hannah interjected with: "Soon to be three". She returned to the team with £4,000, meaning there were three against one in the final chase.

The Chaser answered a few questions incorrectly, giving the players a chance to steal and push him back. When he was asked "Who starred as Seth in the Tarantino film From Dusk 'Til Dawn?", Shaun simply said: "No", and the Chaser was beaten.

Some fans at home were disappointed with the outcome. Taking to Twitter, Mr Chambers said: "Why let them win? Why??????"

Dave said: "Shaun gave up there, and Hannah carried that team". Gemma said: "Shaun gave up [and] pretty much let them win".

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
