ITV The Chase Bradley Walsh's replacement 'identified' as host says 'he's had enough'

The Chase's Mark Labbett identified Bradley Walsh's replacement on today's episode.

The host welcomed four new quizzers on Monday's edition of the ITV game show. Will, Pat, Laura and Dave were all aiming to outrun The Beast in a bid to win a cash prize.

Will started the programme in superb form as he swiftly navigated his way to the Final Chase. The Beast fought back to catch Pat, before Laura narrowly avoided The Chaser to book her spot in the last round.

Dave was in seat 4 and built up £5,000 in his cash-builder. The RAF pilot was eliminated by The Chaser when he was one step from home, but Bradley was aghast at the final question.

He asked: "Xerostamia is the scientific name for what medical phenomenon." Dave opted for goose pimples when the correct answer was "dry mouth", which sparked Bradley to declare "he's had enough" of The Chase.

The Chaser urged the host to retract his statement and identified who his replacement would be. He said: "Don't say that. Phillip Schofield will be here in a heartbeat."

Bradley joked back: "He's never been in Heartbeat. That was Nick Berry." Will and Laura were competing for £10,000 and built up 18 steps in the Final Chase.

However, they were caught with just two seconds remaining - meaning they left empty-handed after a nail-biting finish.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
