Vanessa Feltz is keen to move forward from her bitter split from Ben Ofoedu, saying she is now ready to push past the heartbreak and find love once more.
ITV This Morning regular Vanessa ended the 17-year romance with the 51-year-old singer over the festive period after discovering he had been unfaithful by cheating on her multiple times throughout their relationship.
The 61-year-old has recently been gearing herself up for finding blossoming love once more as she has appeared on Celebs Go Dating and took part in the scary prospect of going out on a date for the first time in 17 years as she put her faith in the dating experts.
Celebs Go Dating expert Anna Williamson has praised Vanessa on taking the brave step of moving on from her 'devastating' split with Ben, reports the Mirror.
She gushed: "We were really delighted that she wanted to come on the show, and she really does want to find love. She wants to move on from the heartbreak of her ex, she wants to move forwards and I think it’s really exciting for her to come on."
Hinting at some very emotional scenes with heartbroken Vanessa, Anna added to Daily Star: "I think viewers are going to be intrigued as she unpacks the devastating heartbreak she’s been through."
It comes as Vanessa recently opened up on the experiences of having her first date since Ben as "terrifying" as she spoke of the mix of emotions she was having before heading out for a date in nearly two decades as part of the celebrity dating show.
Speaking to her Instagram on her way to the date, Vanessa said: "OMG going off on my first date for Celebs Go Dating. I haven't been on a date for 17 years, so just imagine how I'm feeling. I can't even find the words to describe it, and I'm good at words."
Vanessa joins a host of other celebrities for Celebs Go Dating including OnlyFans star Lottie Moss, Love Island's Chloe Burrows and Adam Collard, comedian Spuddz and Made In Chelsea's Mark-Francis Vandelli.
Channel 4 bosses of the dating reality show had been keen to secure Vanessa a spot on the series when she became single following the pair's shock split back in February.
A TV Insider told The Sun last month: "When Vanessa was first approached to do the show, she wasn’t 100 per cent sure as the break-up was very fresh and she didn’t want to rush into anything.
"Now she has had time to think about it and she’s decided to give it a whirl. Her relationship coming to a devastating, unexpected end after 16 years has made her realise that life is short and you have to grab opportunities when they come your way."
