ITV's The Chase: Contestant runs out of time and 'ridiculously' forgets to press buzzer

The Chase host Bradley Walsh welcomed contestants Roger, Makyla, Romanda and Haydn onto Thursday's episode of the ITV quiz show.

The contestants all faced Darragh 'The Menace' Ennis who went full force on the latest show and even handed out advice to a contestant who was too late answering a question.

The Chase fans watching the show lost hope for this week's contestants and took to social media to share their thoughts and opinions.

Haydn was up first, making it back to the table with just £200.

Romanda was up next to face the chaser but the pressure got the best of her and she ran out of time and forgot to press her buzzer.

The question was "What organisation did Martin Bell leave to stand as an independent MP in 1997?", of course The Menace got the question right and Romanda was left without a chance.

The Menace said to her: "Make sure you get an answer in, even if it's just a guess."

Sadly Romanda was beaten by The Chaser, on her departure The Menace added: "Running out of time is the worst, but I'm glad I caught her because she's a very good player.

The Chase fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the incident and didn't have much hope.

Makyla managed to bank £5,000 and Roger was fourth to face The Chaser, and after having his head turned by a huge £56,400 offer, he went with the middle number - £4,000.

He made it back to the table, meaning there was £9,200 to play for, with three contestants against Darragh in the final.

Unfortunately the team were caught with 30 seconds remaining and Bradley had to take the money back off the players.
