Countdown fans have been speculating wildly about who could replace current presenter Anne Robinson, who has announced she's quitting the show in a message to fans saying she want to spend more time with her grandchildren, in the garden, and at her home in New York.
Cue the bookies conjure up a list of possibilities to take Anne's place including: Carol Vorderman, Romesh Ranganathan, Fiona Bruce, Paul O'Grady, Dermot O'Leary and even Jon Richardson.
Well if anyone had Lorraine Kelly down on their betting slip, then bad luck as the morning TV presenter has been forced to deny any rumour that she might be taking over the role as Kate Garraway and Adil Ray asked her about it during a two-way segment this morning (May 5).

Adil said Sandi Toksvig was one of the odds-on favourites to take the position or possibly Carol Voderman but said: "It's just occurred to me, Lorraine Kelly could be the host of Countdown." And co-presenter Kate Garraway added: "Oh you'd be great at that."
But Lorraine seemed concerned the pair might not quite understand the logistics of her work schedule saying: "Do you not think it'd be too much? The morning and the afternoon? It might be a bit too much. But Sandi or Carol, that's a great shout."
Adil added: "I was going to put her on the spot there to choose one, but she won't will she?" Lorraine made a see saw gesture and laughed diplomatically saying: "Impossible. Job share?"
Countdown is on weekday afternoons on Channel 4.
