People in Prescot have been "buzzing with excitement" as film crews from ITV were spotted in the area this week.
The broadcasters are filming series two of police drama, The Tower, starring Killing Eve's Gemma Whelan as Detective Sergeant Sarah Collins. The residents were warned last week that the cast and crew would be around, as filming commenced yesterday, Monday July 13.
ITV supplied local residents with a box of Dairy Milk Milk Tray ahead of filming. They also provided a letter letting them know exact dates, times and locations of filming to keep disruption as minimal as possible - a small act that went a long way with the residents of the estate.

ITV are expected to be filming at Beaconsfield for the remainder of this week, packing up on Friday July 15. They will then return for two days from Tuesday, July 19 to Wednesday, July 20.
Locals in the area have been popping by to get a glimpse of the action. One resident, who has lived in Beaconsfield for around five years, told Liverpool ECHO : "This is excellent isn't it? Quite exciting coming out of your front door and seeing a film crew right there. Not a lot happens around here so it's nice to see. Buzzing, me."
Another local, named Arthur, said: "I think they filmed here a couple of years ago too. I'll be watching it on telly when it's on to see can I spot anyone I know in the background. Can be Prescot's claim to fame can't it?"
One resident, who didn't want to be named, said: "Prescot is only a small town so it'll be nice to see it in such a big production. The box of chocolates they gave us were a nice touch too."
The first series of the drama was also filmed in areas of Merseyside. It is set on a series of novels by former Met Police Office's Kate London called Post Mortem and follows the stories of Detective Sergeant Sarah Collins and DC Steve Bradshaw.
The show saw actors Gemma Whelan and Emmett J Scanlan filmed on a Merseyrail train parked on a Wirral industrial site. These scenes took place in the next street from Seacombe ferry terminal and the stars were filming inside the train and out of sight of passers by.
The Tower also filmed at Runcorn Cemetery, close to Greenway Road, in Cheshire where the funeral of PC Hadley Matthews - played by Peaky Blinders actor Nick Holder - took place.
